HELP

Start small. Leave a next step.

  1. Choose your focus time. The default is 25 minutes. The duration chooser has 5, 25, 50 and 90-minute choices, plus 1–240 minutes custom. Choosing a length does not start it.
  2. Press Start timer. Work in your usual app or on paper. Pause and Resume are explicit. Name a task only if it helps you keep a next step.
  3. Add sound if you want. Play sound starts local synthesis; Mute sound turns it off. Atmosphere opens the mix and volume. Some browsers have no usable audio API. Sound starts off after reload or import.
  4. Leave a next step. On a named task, Leave/Edit next step saves one action without stopping its timer or completing the task. During a session, FOR NEXT TIME and Quiet’s Next time: refer to that future action.
  5. Review when ready. A finished timer keeps Review session in the primary position. Saving a next step or skipping review does not automatically complete a task. Explicit task completion stays separate.

Workspace and Quiet view

Workspace holds tasks, recent work, history, room adjustments and local data. Selecting a recent task never starts a timer or sound and leaves a live timer’s snapshot intact. Quiet view keeps the active clock and primary action, sound and Show controls. Escape restores controls when no dialog is open.

Back up or move your work

Open Workspace → Settings & local data → Export backup and keep the JSON file private. On another device or at the public address, use Import backup and inspect its preview before accepting. Existing exports from the earlier Stillwater prototype remain compatible. No device or origin sync happens automatically.

Reset deletes this origin’s local workspace; downloaded backups are separate files. If saving fails, read the displayed status and export what you can before clearing site data.

Timer and offline limits

Only one tab controls a shared timer; another tab can deliberately take over. Paused time is excluded. A browser cannot guarantee an alarm while closed or suspended. Offline use needs a secure address and a complete cached application; clearing browser data removes that cache. Private-IP HTTP phone previews are online tests, not install/offline proof.

Phone, audio and background behavior can vary. SabaiFocus is not an alarm, medical tool or promise of productive work. If something fails, send the browser and symptom without private task content.
